Thousands are STILL trapped in shattered Aleppo as evacuations are put on hold while government loyalists also demand to be taken to safety

The Syrian government pulled out its buses that since Thursday had been ferrying out people from the ancient city that has suffered under intense bombardment, fierce battles and a prolonged siege. At least 6,000 civilians and rebels, including 2,700 children, are believed to have fled the city since it was mostly recaptured by government forces.
