Asia-Pacific stock markets plunged on Wednesday, tracking Wall Street’s biggest fall in nearly a year after one of the most worrying statistical signs yet that the US economy is entering a recession. Japan dropped as much as 4.2 per cent during the morning. Hong Kong was as much as 5.
