Below the target

It is appalling to note that Malta had (has) the highest proportions of early school leavers in the EU, which according to latest figures amounts to 41.7 per cent. Malta is then followed by Portugal (39.2%), Romania (19.0%) and Bulgaria (18.0) according to The Malta Independent and maltastar.com on Sunday (7 October, 2007, p 68).
