European Commission launches Humanitarian Aid support

The European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) launched an awareness campaign on humanitarian aid in Malta on Monday. Together with the European Commission Representation in Malta and the Maltese Red Cross, a "Humanitarian Aid Van" will be travelling around Malta for a week. An ECHO team will visit several schools to explain humanitarian issues to Maltese youths. A special event is foreseen on Tuesday, with a "tracing simulation exercise" organized in Gozo involving more than 400 students.
